Labor Day Freebies! {Via Catch My Party}

Our friends over at Catch My Party have been gracious enough to host our labor day freebie!  It's printables to dress up your barbecue, and it's retro {Mad Men <3 inspired!}

I hope you enjoy them, and I'd love to see any pix from your festivities!  I do mourn the end of summer, but there are so many good times still to come in 2011!

Best,
Krysten

Bocce Love {Party Activity}

Every year when we go to Maine, my family plays Bocce.  It's kind of like bowling, but with small colored balls and a court instead of a lane.  Ok, it's not much like bowling at all, but it's loads of fun and almost any age can play!  It's a great family tradition that you should try!

Here's some pix from our bocce battles!

As you can see, Bocce is a great backyard game to add to a family reunion or birthday party!

I've been super busy getting all the new printables up on our Etsy site that we've worked on over the past few months! In honor of the season finale of A Game of Thrones next weekend, I found some time to create a printable for that epic event! Won't that be SO MUCH FUN???

Take a look at our Etsy Site for more details and pix!

Amy Atlas Inspired Halloween Centerpiece Tutorial

Here are the first of our images from the last few weeks of parties! This one is the Amy Atlas inspired centerpiece we used for the Spooktacular Fall Dance that we decorated for last Friday at a local Elementary School with 500 guests. We had a lot of fun putting all the details together for this party. We plan to use this centerpiece again for the upcoming Holidays with different embellishments!

First, we spray painted a plastic urn that we found at Home Depot for $8.00.

Next, we spray painted sticks silver that we found in our backyard!

They came out gorgeous!

We spray painted leaves found at the Dollar Tree to coordinate.

Look at the difference just the few leaves made!

We added some black crows from the Dollar Tree.

Very spooky!

These skulls we took from a Dollar Tree garland, pulled them off the rope and hot glued Christmas bulb hooks to the top to hang on the tree.
We thought they looked like little monkey skulls!

We spray painted an old wreath we found in the garage to match the branches.

And fit it around the bottom of the urn for a little something extra!

...Viola!

We thought it looked so big in our design space, but when we placed it on our tablescape in the school cafeteria, it was perfect!

Everyone loved it!

We hope you did too!

More to come...

Lots of Smiles,
Amber
