2. Grab the button featured above from the sidebar and place it in your post or on your blog to spread the word about the blog party.
3. Follow me here, Twitter OR Facebook and leave me a comment telling me what you did so I can follow you back!

Wednesday's blog has party tips 9.21.10 Evite

If you missed my super excited post on Monday, THIS was supposed to be my party tips Wednesday post. But I put it up early because it got featured! We are making these for a friend's shower.

So instead, I thought I would write about Evite. I always assume that if something is not new to me, it's not new to anyone else. But I find that this is often not true.

Evite is this super neat, beautiful, practical, green and free way to send email invitations and manage party planning - soup to nuts.

Now you would think, being a printable party decorations diva, that I would not endorse such a thing as Evite. On the contrary, I LOVE IT!

The reasons I love Evite are:

1. It helps reduce our carbon footprint. I am a super green, recycle, freecycle, reuse, reduce tree hugger kind of girl. We are currently looking for recycling centers for the general public to list on our website, so if you know of any - please comment and let me know!

2. I am a fabulous person who needs a lot of help in the area of organization - especially with calendars and my life. Anything to help me out in keeping things straight is a go for me.

3. I am a geek girl and love technology! I can't get away from it. It makes my life better! And it's so much easier to import my email contact list straight from my gmail account, or send a link to my facebook friends than to do all this manually.

4. I love parties. {obviously!} Evite has fabulous tools, tips and tricks to help party the party planner get a leg up. And I hate the phone. :P

So if you've never tried Evite, please check it out. You will love it. Clickable Party is in the process of designing free downloadable backgrounds that match our party decorations for those of you who love it too!

Here's what you do:

Go to http://www.evite.com/

Click on the tab that says "invitations".

Choose an event type under Design Categories {i.e. birthday for kids}.

Choose an adorable pre-formatted background or "design your own". {more on this in a later post}.

Type in all the important information - make sure you add a title and a date/time.

Click on "Invitation Options" under the main image to choose things like "add a playlist" or "ask guests to bring something". Here you can also create a custom URL to send your friends.

Click on "Add Guests" in the bottom right hand corner and it will bring you to the page shown below. Either type in email addresses, import them from your email account or send the link in an email on Facebook or add it to your Facebook profile.

Change your email text on the right hand side, and if you wish, change the reply style on the bottom left.

Voila! You have just sent your first Evite. Don't you feel better now? While your there, check out their entertaining section for more great tools, their blog and their ecards!

Best,
Krysten

Travel Party "Wish you were here" Adult Bday!

We sent this Party {in a box} to our Nana (Shhh, hope she doesn't see this, cuz I think they're doing it this week!) But I wanted to enter the CSI project's (Create Something Inspiring) party ideas challenge! I posted a sneak peak of this earlier, and I don't have "real party" pictures yet. Nonetheless, here it is!

Wish you were here!

This is a travel theme - for as long as my sister and I can remember, my Nana has loved geography, globes, everything to do with travel. She has done some traveling, but still hopes to get to the Promised Land. I believe she will!

Here are the photos of her Party {in a box} made with love and inspired by her warmth, brilliance and loveliness!

We were featured at C.R.A.F.T!

Our free printable Halloween cards were featured at C.R.A.F.T. for Making Monday Marvelous!

CRAFT stands for Creating Really Awesome Free Things! This is a neat blog filled with creative goodness! She also has a great link party list for you blog hoppers!

Thanks CRAFT!

Tuesday has a recipe {Pie Pops} 9.21.10

Today's recipe comes from a blog called Luxirare, a funky food and fashion blog that I honestly don't know how I came across - but who cares!? This is the best idea EVA!

Pie Pops

The short of it is:

1) You mix fresh fruit with sugar, cornstarch and cinnamon {when appropriate}.

2) Cut the pie crust into 2"ish circles (one for top and one for bottom)

3) Place one unbaked crust circle down, add the lolly stick on the bottom and a spoonfull of pie filling.

4) Place one unbaked crust circle on top and use another lolly stick to seal the edges for a pretty finish.

5) Wash outside of pie crust with egg white/water mixture.

6) Bake at 375 for 15 minutes (This is my best guess).

7) Impress all your friends.

Apparently Bakerella did a feature on these too! But it's new to me, so I'm sharing it with you!

Don't forget, there is a half price coupon right now through Friday, 9/24 for all orders of $15.00 or more. It basically gives you any full tablescape for only $7.50 - 50% off!! There are no exclusions, so even Party {in a box} is on sale.

Coupon code is FALL12010. Enter at checkout!

Also, if you missed Feature Friday, leave a link to your page (blog, Facebook, Twitter, etc.) and follow us on Facebook to be entered to win our Trick or Treat Halloween Tablescape as a free giveaway! This link party is open until Thursday, 9/23.

Best,

Krysten

I guess these hit the bloggoverse last year, but I didn't know because I was not traveling in that section of the bloggoverse last year! :) I thought I was so original! They are cool, nonetheless and I haven't seen anyone stack the candlesticks for a taller version to use in a grouping, so I guess it's still somewhat original.

Anyway, check out the instructable, and rate for me please!
