Pumpkin Heads!

It's that time of year again! One of my favorite holidays are just around the corner - HALLOWEEN!

I've always had a holiday dilemma with Halloween - the decorations.

I don't like over-spooky, gross looking, slasher kinds of decorations (much to my husband's dismay).

I don't like super glitzy glittery decorations because they look cheezy.

I don't like the ultra-cutsey decorations.

So, what to do?

I tend to try to stick with classic looking decorations, and I love quirky Nightmare Before Christmas styles. Check out these neat pumpkin heads I found while I was out shopping.

Love them! I'm getting inspired! My Vintage Halloween theme is about to be launched. Watch for it on our shop site!

Freebies {...and there was much rejoicing! *hooray*}

Ok friends! I have figured out how to put up a freebie on my shop. Sadly, right now it is devoid of a real picture, but I shall correct that soon enough! Nonetheless, I want to share the link for this

before the summer is over, and it's time is done. Of course, you could always use it for a beachy themed slumber party or spa party - even in the cold of winter if you're feeling nostalgic for the warmer days.

Now that I have the hang of it, please keep your eyes open for more freebies to come. (Fantasy Football, Back to School and Halloween!)

Make a tiered bowl {Dollar Store Craft!}

Check out this adorable tiered bowl made from Dollar Store items for less than $5! I found his on the Dollar Store Crafts site - one of my new favorite haunts! Enjoy! -

Barbara from Craftsty made this amazing display bowl to show off her adorable mushrooms.

Project Estimate:

  • 3 bowls, $3
  • 2 candlesticks, $2
  • Strong glue (E6000 on hand)

Total Cost: $5

This is a great idea for the holidays! Simple holiday decorating! Or use it for your next craft show display.

Barbara: I made a 3 tier bowl set from items from my local dollar store! The total cost was $5.00 and some strong glue because mine were made out of glass. I bought 3 bowls and 2 candle sticks. Set one bowl upside down and glue a candle stick in the middle and repeated again then place the last bowl uptop the candle stick. Let it dry and flip over now you have a 3 tier bowl set. They can be used for centerpieces with fruit or candies but I use mine in my craftroom.

Thanks for sharing your dollar store genius with us, Barbara!

"Krysten,

As a result of this party, I was asked to be part of a party planning team for all of Human Resources. Thank you!

The Indie Tot Feature!

We were featured today on The Indie Tot! I'm so excited - it's our first feature!

Which reminds me, in all my excitement to get things started, I jumped in without introducing myself! I'm a happy wife and mother of two fantastic boys. We live in Southeastern Massachusetts close to the Rhode Island border. I am a stay at home mom, and have worked in special education in the past as well having a background in graphic design. I am a very active volunteer, and busy with the kids!

Clickable Party creates printable party-scapes, custom designs and some party planning too.

Thank you for welcoming me to your communities and homes. Please let me know if there is anything we can do for you!

And check out our little feature on The Indie Tot! Hooray!

Fantasy Football!

{oops! When I moved my blog, it deleted all my awesome pix! Check back later! sorry!}

We created this custom Fantasy Football theme for the Lynch Family of Phoenix, Arizona. They were nice enough to send us some feedback and great pictures of the party!

Krysten,

Just wanted to share some photos of your fine work in action! We had about 30 people at our Fantasy Football party on Saturday. Everyone loved the customized decorations, especially the logos for their teams. We enjoyed creating all of the party elements as part of the family contribution to getting ready for the party. We used the cupcake toppers on the cupcakes and regular food items just to dress up the theme of the day. The banner came out great and everyone was impressed by the setup of the workstations for each team manager at Draft Central. Thanks so much for making the day special!

pdl

Thanks, Lynch family, for sending us these snippets about your party! Looks like you had a great time, and we're glad we could be a part of it!

The Fantasy Football theme is now available for free download in the Clickable Party store!

Jungle Baby Shower

Today was Erin and Patrick's baby shower! They expected a large group for their Jack and Jill party with family and friends.

We created this Jungle theme for them to go along with the baby's room in greens, browns and yellows. We had a small table to decorate, but made the most of it.

The dessert table.

We called these "Jungle Pops" - basically chocolate dipped marshmallows rolled in coconut or graham cracker crumbs (like a smore!). We dressed them to look like baby rattles. They were a big hit!

We also made some Rice Crispy Bites - peanut butter rice crispy balls dipped in chocolate. YUM!

We covered these votive candles to match the theme.

We also made some chocolate covered pretzels and filled a jar with "jungle" baby kisses with coordinated theme stickers on the bottom. So cute!

And my favorite part of all... the CAKE!

...and the cupcakes - of course!

This theme is available NOW in the Clickable Party store.
Pre-printed invitations and matching postage is available in our Zazzle store!
